About

Hi, I’m Bhakti, the author of this blog! Food is my hobby, and I find cooking to be therapeutic at times and enjoyable all of the time, unless I’m tired and have too many deadlines to meet. I’m currently a college student majoring in piano, but when I’m not studying or attending music concerts, I love looking for new recipes, going grocery shopping, trying new food places out and hunting down good food to eat, and then trying to replicate what I like or what looks good in the kitchen — and that’s what this blog is all about.

I’m lacto-vegetarian, and my diet follows most closely to Buddhist cuisine. Therefore the recipes on this blog generally don’t contain garlic, onions, other plants of the allium family, and instead asafoetida powder is used as a substitute for the allium flavor.
